Lib Dem vote massive across county

Research into the results on the 1st of may has shown the Liberal Democrats to be the party with the biggest share of the vote - with Labour in third place.

Over the whole of Northumberland the votes for parties were:

Lib Dems 35,884, Tories 29,381, Labour 22,653, Others 12,451

Total Votes counted 100,369
