Prudhoe a Labour free zone as Lib Dems Triumph4.53.04pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 2nd May 2008 The local elections for the new council in Northumberland saw big changes as Labour lost all their seats in the Tynedale area, with Neil Bradbury winning in Prudhoe West and the Lib Dems emerging as the biggest party. The full result in Prudhoe West was: Neil Bradbury (Lib Dems) 702 votes (56.5%) Labour 308 votes (24.8%) Conservatives 181 votes (14.6%) Green Party 51 votes (4.1%) In Prudhoe East, Labour fell to independent councillor Bill Garrett. Neil Bradbury said "Its a new dawn for Northumberland and for Prudhoe West. Thanks for everyones support, I will not let you down".
