West Road Improvements Needed

6.24.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 22nd Apr 2008

Councillor Neil Bradbury has called for improvements to the appearance to the West Road and for the Town Council to reveal the workings of a secretive group meant to be focusing on improvements. £10,000 was allocated for the improvement of the roads surrounding pavements and railings. However none has yet to be spent and the council committee, which met in secret and did not let any local ward councillors know its plans, has yet to come forward with any proposals. "If the committee talked to me or any other local residents, we'd soon have the money spent." said Neil Bradbury. Of particular concern is the state of pavements around Prospect terrace. What do you want to happen on the road? Contact Neil at Prudhoe 832933 to let him know.
