Dim future for Prudhoe Lights

11.11.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 3rd Oct 2005

This year the prospect for Prudhoes famous Christmas lights appears to be dimmer after it was confirmed that new regulations would mean that displays across the street and some other decorations would breach electricity and council regulations. "Its unfortunate that in the first year of the Town Council doing the lights after a long period of volunteers doing them, the lights will be much smaller in quantity after these new regulations come into force. We'll be pressing for them to come back bigger and better for 2007 and will be working with other councillors to ensure they are as good as they can be this year."commented Cllr Neil Bradbury.
