Poll confirms fears over Brown Bins

Polling conducted on the Prudhoe Liberal Democrats website has confirmed a large percentage of people will not use the new brown bins for composting and garden waste introduced by Tynedale Council. 88% said that they will not use them with 12% saying they would.

"Clearly more information needs to be given about the bins and the council should have introduced the scheme more gradually. There is no point in giving people bins if they don't use them. The large number of houses that have not yet brought in their brown bins despite them being delivered weeks ago confirms that the council has messed up on this." commented Cllr Neil Bradbury.
