New Brown Bins to be introduced

9.02.52pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 2nd Aug 2005

Starting from next week, Prudhoe will see the introduction of Brown wheelie bins for the collection of garden waste. These will usually be collected on the same day as the recycling bins. However, a number of residents have contacted the Prudhoe Lib Dem FOCUS team with concerns that they do not need a bin because they have little gardens or because they compost their garden waste.

The message is that you do not have to have the bins "Just phone up the Helpline on 01434 652418 and ask not to receive one. We want to know if you have any problems with the bins." said Cllr Neil Bradbury. Call the Prudhoe FOCUS team on 01661 832933 to tell us of your opinion. Prudhoe Lib Dems are running an online poll to see if people will be using the bins. Please vote now!
